Rahel Otsa (Estonia)
Rahel Otsa is an improviser who loves to search for meaning behind spontaneity and to constantly discover new dimensions of improv. She has been actively involved in improv since 2009 and, during that time, has led her own improv troupe, organized seven international improv theatre festivals, taught courses for children, youth, and adults, and conducted workshops in various places across Europe, Asia, and Australia. In 2022, she opened her own improv school in Tallinn.
Before diving into the world of improv, she also explored classical theatre and forum theatre projects, and now combines all these experiences to find new approaches to improv. She is always seeking ways to touch the audience’s heart and senses with more than just laughter, believing that well-told stories can change the world.
One of her favorite things is traveling abroad to give workshops focused on specific themes. Recently she realized that, since she has her own improv school, she doesn’t have to wait for someone to invite her to teach these workshops—she can simply organize them herself right here from time to time!
On October 17th, Rahel will lead the workshop “Monologues”.
